EYE-Q Vision Care is Fresno’s leading comprehensive eye care provider. We have been serving Central California since 1956, and over the years have been pioneers in bringing the latest advancements in eye care to the Fresno area. EYE-Q is proud to be the first eye care provider in the Central Valley to perform All-Laser LASIK, thousands of cataract surgeries annually, and oculoplastic and pediatric surgeries. We are currently accepting applications for an Ambulatory Surgery Center Manager to join our dynamic team. This fast-paced position will be responsible for managing and directing the activities of the Ambulatory Surgery Center and Clinical Services including coordinating and supervising staff and administration of care within these units.
Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Direct and oversee all nursing services in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in accordance with recognized standards of practice, law, and regulation.
- Facilitate ongoing staff training needs assessments, new hire training, and supervise Coordinator and/or Team Lead with annual mandatory training and competencies.
- Facilitate and supervise Coordinator and/or Team Lead in screening job applicants, interviewing, and hiring new staff.
- Responsible for clinical activities of ASC, reviews surgical schedule on a continuous basis to ensure efficiency, and staff, equipment, and supplies are sufficient.
- Responsible for purchasing activities: appropriate and cost-effective supply inventory, ordering activities and cost evaluations with support from purchasing specialist.
- Maintain outsourced service contracts, outside contractors or consultants with support from purchasing specialist.
- Manage & supervise all department staff, facilitates issue and conflict resolution when required with staff within or between departments.
- Direct and participate in CMS surveys Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Program, ensuring all data collection chart audits, and required reports are presented in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current registration in California with the Board of Registered Nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse License and current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university, B.S.N. preferred.
- Minimum of two years previous management experience required.
- Minimum of two years previous O.R. or O.P.S. experience required.
- Previous ophthalmic surgery experience preferred.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, NextGen and other office software and applications.
